My paternal grandmother
Stella was my grandmother
Her birthplace was Poland
She came to America ( Detroit) with her husband John ( my paternal grandfather) in early 1911
They had 4 children (all born in Detroit)..
Eleanor ( 1911 or 1912)
Mitchell (1913) my father
Edwin ( 1914?)
Edward Thaddeus ( 1919)
All went back to Poland when children were very young ( Bydgoszcz)
Owned a store and grandfather sold farm equipment
All children went to private catholic school
All children had duel citizenship
Eleanore was the first to return to Detroit ((later moved to Ohio)
Mitchell followed shortly and settled in Detroit
Not sure when Edwin and Edward returned to Michigan
Stella & John were the last to return to the USA
Settled in Ohio and lived in close proximity to Eleanore’s family
Edward T. served in the military & retired from the Air Force as a military officer.
