    Stephen A. Dennis Service for Stephen Arthur Dennis, 9233 N. Bristol Ave., will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Berg's-St. John's Funeral Home, with vault interment at Skyline Memorial Gardens. He died Saturday in a local hospital. Born in Adams County, Ill., on Nov. 1, 1882, Mr. Dennis moved to Portland in 1895. He worked as a mail carrier for 33 years before his retirement in 1945 and was a member of Pioneer Methodist Church. Mr. Dennis is survived by his wife, Nell A.; three sons, Chester S., Pittsburgh, Pa., Wendell D., Tigard; and Dale Powell, Salem; two daughters, Miss Margaret Dennis, Moro, and Mrs. Janet Dingman, Littleton, Colo,; a brother, Albert, Milwaukie; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Mancour, Milwaukie, Mrs. Ethel Tindall, Toledo, and Mrs. Esther Cook, Portland; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
