Stephen Frank Leek 1837 - 1904

Stephen Frank Leek was born in 1837 in Hanover, Morris County, New Jersey United States to Isaac Hubbard Leek and Julia Cory, and had siblings Deborah Leek, Emma Caroline Leek, John C. Leek, and Sarah Leek. He married Tabitha Anna Booth, and they had a child Grover Cleveland Leek. He would also marry Mary E. Losey, and they had children Anna E. Leek and Francis Eugene Leek. Stephen Leek died at age 66 years old on July 16, 1904 in Dover.

In 1837, in the year that Stephen Frank Leek was born, on March 4th, Martin Van Buren was sworn in as the eighth President of the United States. Van Buren won 50.8% of the popular vote over election rival Harrison's 36.6%, largely due to Van Buren's promise to continue (previous) President Jackson's policies.
