    Stephen Joseph Branaugh, of Potosi, MO passed away at his home Saturday, April 26, 2003 at the age of 45 years, 1 month and 17 days. He was born March 9, 1958 in Ironton, MO to Robert Branaugh and the late Maggie (Carter) Branaugh. Steve was a member of the Potosi Elks Lodge, the IBEW #1439, a member of the Washington County Ambulance Board, and he was a Lieutenant with the Potosi Police Department where he served for over twenty-nine years. He loved to be outdoors, especially to hunt and fish. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his father, Robert Branaugh of Potosi, sons, Jason Branaugh of Potosi, and Brad Pitts of Perryville; daughter, Stephanie Branaugh of Potosi; brother, Dennis Branaugh and wife Mickey of Potosi; sister, Susan Henry and husband Sonny of Potosi; two grandchildren, Dustin Branaugh of Concordia, Kansas and Jarrett Pitts of Perryville, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will greatly miss him. Memorial services were held Tuesday evening, April 29 by the Potosi Police Department and also by the Potosi elks Lodge. Funeral services were conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Jeff Richards and Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Ace Eye, John Ruble, Andy Silvey, Tim Craig, Roy Logsden and Eddie Reece. Interment was in the New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home, Potosi.
