  • Introduction

    Stephen Lee Price was born to Richard Price (1934 - 1992) and Maryellen Hinesley (1934 - 1998). He had two brothers. Stephen L. Price was a producer. He was best known for the films Jurassic Park (1993), Ghost (1990) and Maverick (1994). He was also a visual effects supervisor (using the name "Steve Price") at Industrial Light & Magic, working on Hook (1991), Death Becomes Her (1992), and Jurassic Park (1993). See Stephen L Price: Professions for more credits. Steve died of pancreatic cancer while working on the film (Jumanji), released in 1995. The film was dedicated to his memory. The film Dragonheart (1996) was also dedicated to him, alongside Irwin Cohen. Although there is no record of Stephen Price having married, his headstone is inscribed "BELOVED FRIEND AND HUSBAND".
