A photo of Irene Strauch standing next to her father, Stephen Strauch. In the car was Bill Strauch. They took a trip from Raymond Street, Detroit, Michigan to Cleveland, Ohio together to visit Tom Ontko & his family.

As it turned out, the car was stolen. Bill purchased it from a dealer in Detroit. One day after waking up, he saw his car was gone and filed a police report. Checks revealed the vehicle had been towed by police when they learned it was stolen!

VISITING CLEVELAND, OHIO FROM DETROIT IN STOLEN CAR
Bill Strauch (driving) came from Detroit with his father, Stephen "Chic" Strauch (standing) in a car he purchased then later found out it was stolen. Irene Strauch was married to Thomas "Tommy" Ontko in North Olmsted, Ohio just after WWII and they were living in the Cleveland suburb on Clague Road off Lorain Avenue, near where Tom grew up..

The photo was taken in the late 1960's at the Grayton Street, Detroit, Michigan home of Steve & Emma Strauch who came from Oliver #1 (Uniontown), Pennsylvania during WWII. Steve & Emma raised four sons: Steve, Emil, William, John, and two daughters: Irene Ontko and Bobbie (Cecilia) Zeweke. All of their children were born in Pennsylvania.
