Stephen was baptized at WEST RUTLAND VERMONT. He married APOLONIA (PAULINE) JANE (KUSEK) on December 27, 1958 at ST ADALBERT CHURCH in Belchertown, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. He married APOLONIA JANE (KUSEK) on December 27, 1958 at ST ADALBERT CHURCH in Belchertown, Hampshire County. They had children STEPHEN JOSEPH CIJKA, ANNA SOPHIE CIJKA, mary ann cijka, stanley michael cijka, and michael john cijka.     Stephen was born to Jozef Michael Ciejka(1885-1948) and Walerya Malek(1881-1931) . Jozef Michael was born to Tomasz Ciejka(1838-?) and Ewa Wos(1856-?). Jozef also had other siblings Jan(John) (1880=1960) . Anna Caroline(1887-1957),Marya(1898-?),and Piotr(1907-?). Jozef and all his siblings were born in Krzemienica Podkarpackie Poland. Him and his siblings all emigrated to The United States around 1900 except Piotr who remained in Poland. Walerya was born in Kliszow Podkarpackie Poland . Stephen married Apolonia(pAULINE) Jane Kusek in late december 1958. They had 5 children Stephen 11/1/59 Anna 10/26/1961 Mary Ann 1963 Stanley 1965 and Michael 1967. Pauline Kusek was born april 28 , 1935 the 11 th of 12 children. Her father was jan kusek and mother was zofia gula

In 1937, by the time he was just 15 years old, on May 6th, the German zeppelin the Hindenburg caught fire and blew up. The Hindenburg was a passenger ship traveling to Frankfurt Germany. It tried to dock in New Jersey, one of the stops, and something went wrong - it blew up. Thirty-six people were killed out of the 97 on board - 13 passengers, 22 crewmen, and one ground worker. The reasons for the explosion are still disputed.
