    AMERICAN FALLS - Steven Carl Canfield passed away November 2, 2010. He was born in Gooding, Idaho, to Archie Dean Canfield and Ella Mae Canfield (Weatherford) on July 18, 1950. When he was a young child he moved with his family to American Falls, Idaho. Growing up he used to deliver newspapers on his bicycle and his dog, Tippy, would ride on the handlebars. After graduating from American Falls High School in 1968, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served two tours in Vietnam. After Steve finished with his enlistment in the Navy he worked in for RCA in Greenland for a year. Steve returned to Idaho and married Rhonda Scott and had a son together. During the majority of this time he worked for Simplot's in Aberdeen. Steve and Rhonda divorced after seven years. Steve worked for Simplot's for many years. When he quit Simplot's he went to Alaska and worked. Steve returned back to Idaho and went to work for Amalgamated Sugar. Steve was transferred to the Paul, Idaho factory. Steve remained in the Magic Valley for the remainder of his life. While living in Rupert, Idaho, Steve remarried and had a daughter named Jodi and a stepdaughter, Jessica. Steve later divorced again and remained single for many years. Steve retired out of Amalgamated Sugar and spent a lot of time fishing, riding his motorcycle and talking with people at the coffee shops. Earlier this year Steve met the love of his life, Kimberli Huber. They moved in together in Hagerman, Idaho. Steve's final month of life was his most joyful. Steve and Kimmy spent a lot of time fishing and traveling around the gorgeous Hagerman canyons. Steve is survived by his son, Daniel and Carrie Canfield of Twin Falls; his granddaughter, Abigail Canfield, from Twin Falls; daughter, Jodi Canfield, of Paul; his mother, Ella Mae of American Falls; his sister, Bonnie Saiz of Pocatello; and brothers, Maurice Canfield of Pocatello, Terry Canfield of American Falls, and John Canfield of American Falls. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Archie Canfield, and sister, Debbie Canfield. Steve loved to talk and meet with people. His favorite NFL team was the San Diego Chargers. Steve would talk to anyone for hours about politics, sports, religion or whatever they would want to talk about and debate. Steve loved to talk about the many fun times he had with his many friends. Lee Cluff was among his favorite friends. He could tell many funny stories that happened when he was out with his friends. Steve deeply loved his friends and family. Steve was extremely proud of his granddaughter Abigail and enjoyed the time he spent with her. He enjoyed going for rides on his motorcycle and being with his family. The memorial service will be held at 10 am, Saturday, November 6, 2010, at the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, American Falls Stake Center, 111 Church Place in American Falls. The family will greet friends and neighbors at 9:30 a.m. before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Rose Mortuary in American Falls, Idaho. .
