Susan and I were very close-knit friends from the 7th grade. (1976/1977 school year.) I knew he entire family because I was at her house often, and she at mine. Susan was funny, caring, dependable, reliable. She loved to dance, and was very good at it. We had many fun times, and many hardy laughs. She left high school in 1980 (10th grade), so our paths went different directions, but we stayed in contact. She eventually moved to Tennessee, met Cole Dennis, her husband at the time of her death. They had no children. (Her first husband was David Carter. They did not have any children together.) Susan would have been a fantastic mother. Not real sure why she died other than she worked hard at staying thin. Too thin. She didn't nourish her body, had two strokes at the age of 42. Then on Dec 20, 2005, as her husband drove her to the hospital because she was really sick, she died in the car during the ride there. So sad. Rest in peace, my friend. Deanna Mast Rasbury

The car she was riding in was trying to evade the paparazzi but it was also discovered later that the driver of the car, who was also killed, had three times the legal limit of alcohol which likely contributed to the accident.
