Sydney Thomas Laity was born in 1890 at Queenstown in Saint Andrews, Nillumbik Shire County, Victoria Australia to William John Osbourne Laity and Elizabeth (Smith) Laity, and had siblings Rupert Laity, Harold Laity, Dolly Laity, and Gordon Laity. Sydney Laity died at age 76 years old in July 1967, and was buried at Springvale Botanical Cemetery 600 Princes Hwy, in Springvale, Greater Dandenong City County, VIC.
