Sylvester Had a son Sylvester Michael Kiger 111 in 1959. He had a Daughter Tracye Michele Kiger in 1961. His first Marriage Mary Jo Kiger lasted 4 years. Sylvester "Syl" Then Married Anne Ware had another son and Daughter. Kige and Cassie .He worked for Warren Wright (Insurance Company) .In 1962 He worked for Livestock Underwriters,learned the Business. Then Fasig-Tipton Insurance. Owned Kiger -Parks Insurance Agency. Married Cathy Lowe his 3rd wife. Kiger -Parks Split up. Syl became President and owner of Kiger Insurance. Details of his Business Success can be found on Legacy com. Strangely he left out the names of his first two children in his Obituary and of his Grandson's Christopher Trey Degenhardt born to Tracye Michele His 2nd son "Kige" Kiger's name was originally Sylvester Kiger 111. Sylvester's first wife remarried Dr. Ronald Sergent. Though "Syl" would not allow his Children to be adopted by the doctor, he allowed their names to be changed to Sergent. He planned on making a "Clean Break from them" as told by their Mother. Dr. Sergent Died When Sylvester Michael Kiger 111 was 10. Sylvester Michael Kiger Jr. asked his first-born to give up his name to 'Kige" when he became teinvolved with himself and Tracy Michele following their Stepfather Death. Sylvester Michael Kiger 111 (Mike refused to change his name so that the younger brother nicknamed "Kige" Could Keep his. Kige Haynes Kiger became Kiges legal name.

In 1934, in the year that Sylvester Michael Kiger Jr. was born, on June 6th, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission was formed as a response to the stock market crash of 1929 and the continuing Great Depression. Previously, the states regulated the offering and sales of stocks - called "blue sky" laws. They were largely ineffective. Roosevelt created a group (one member was Joseph Kennedy, father of the future President Kennedy) who knew Wall Street well and they defined the mission and operating mode for the SEC. The new organization had broad and stringent rules and oversight and restored public confidence in the stock market in the United States.

The worst epidemic of polio had broken out that year - in the U.S. there were 58,000 cases reported. Of these, 3,145 people had died and 21,269 were left with mild to disabling paralysis.
