She married Al Michel Simoneaux, and had children Regina Lynn (Simoneaux) Pinon, Lisa (Simoneaux) Jones, Lorry (Simoneaux) Deslatte-Picou, Lorna (Simoneaux) DeVillier, Leah (Simoneaux) Wilkinson, Leslie (Simoneaux) Corona, Lauren (Simoneaux) Auer, Craig Simoneaux, and Kirk Simoneaux. Sylvia Simoneaux died at age 69 years old on September 9, 2005.

Simoneaux , Sylvia Alice - - - A resident and native of Head of Island, she died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at 5:30 p.m. at her home. She was 69. Visiting at St. Joseph Catholic Church, French Settlement, on Sunday, Sept. 11, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Ruben Reynolds. Interment in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Al Simoneaux ; seven daughters and four sons-in-law, Regina Lynn and Robbie Pinon, Lisa Jones, Lorry and Matt Picou, Lorna Devillier, Leah and Randy Wilkinson, Leslie Corona and Lauren and Steve Auer; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kirk and Tammy Simoneaux and Craig Simoneaux ; brother and sister-in-law, Archie and Eva Vicknair Lebourgeois; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Daniel Deslatte and Chris Wilkinson; two infant brothers, two sons-in-law, Travis Jones and Danny Deslatte; and a sister-in-law, Sue Lebougeois.
