She married Lee Chikafsky on November 14, 1968 in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico, and they were married until Lee's death on January 11, 2012. Teresa Chikafsky has children Laura Rochelle (Chikafsky) Flores, Sergio Chikafsky, and Elizabeth (Chikafsky) Coats.
