Tessie Czeslawa Podeszfinski was the daughter in law of Roman Podeszfinski. She graduated St. Stanislaus grade school, Newark NJ and graduated Newark public high school at the age of 16. She studied secretarial work and worked in various jobs secretarial and tevhnical during WW2. She met Henry Dominic Podeszfinski, son of Roman and Lottie.

Stanley Rawa and Eugenia Rawa, Tessie's parents, were born in Poland around 1900 when it was controlled by Russia and iimigrated to the US with Eugenia's mother and baby brother, Al Pienieck. After trying to work in coal mines, they moved to Newark NJ where he worked at a Paterson NJ brick-making factory for 30 years. They also operated a grocery store in Newark NJ. They had 4 daughters and a son.
