    DUNSTAN.-ON THE 10th September, at 78 Queen street, Bendigo. Thomas Cornish, beloved husband of the late Margaret Ellen Dunstan, and father of Serena (Mrs. G. Smith, West Boort), Sam( Barraport), Priscilla (deceased), Cliff (Barraport), and Stella (Mrs. Thurrowgood, Marong). Aged 75 years.- Reunited.

In 1859, in the year that Thomas Cornish Dunstan was born, on February 27th, US Congressman Daniel Sickles shot and killed Philip Barton Key - a US. District Attorney and son of Francis Scott Key, writer of the national anthem, for having an affair with his wife. Sickles claimed temporary insanity - the first to do so - and was acquitted.
