    Thomas F. DeMunda was born to Joseph DeMunda (1886 - 1957) and Grace Grazia DeSantis (1886 - 1973). Both parents were born in Italy. He had seven siblings: three sisters and four brothers. Thomas DeMunda married and they had four children. A United States Army veteran, Thomas served during World War II, enlisting in April of 1942.

While it was rumored that two of the children had survived, it was later proven through DNA analysis - when their bodies were found - that the entire family had been killed.
