1796 - Michaelmas: Thomas Isaacson, Labourer/Carpenter of Soham committed to the 'House of Correction' for one month and fined one shilling for assault.

1801 - Epiphany: The same Thomas Isaacson sentenced to soliary confinement for two months and whipped for stealing a butchers' cleaver.

Convicted 17th Jan 1806 - Epiphany: Thomas Isaccson, Labourer/Carpenter of Soham transported for 7 years (not 4) for felony and grand larceny on three counts. Shipped to New South Wales, Australia.

Was Sent to the Prison Ship Retribution in 1806

(Ship: Fortune (1) Arrived Sydney: 12 07 1806. Departed Portsmouth, England: 28 01 1806. Length of journey: 165 days. Prisoners embarked: 260. Prisoners arrived: 256. Ships Master: Henry Moore.)

Convicted of Larceny 1813 along with wife Mary, convicted for receiving stolen goods.

Transported March 1814 for 7 years on the ship 'Somersetshire'.

Found Not guilty of larceny at July sessions 1816.

Found Guilty of Grand Larceny on 6 August 1821 an was sent to the Prison Ship Leviathan with a sentence of 7 Years.

Transported to Australia for 7 years on the ship Phoenix. Left England November 1821 arrived Van Dieman's Land 20th May 1822.

Part of the Soham gang who attacked John John Horsley in April 1822. Transported again in 1822, Sentenced to 7 years. Convict No: 35763. Ship: Phoenix, sailing from Portsmouth on 5 Jan 1822 arriving Tasmania on 20 May 1822. Transported with son George.

By 1841 census, back in Soham at East Fen Common. Also with the family at this time is Mary Shaw aged 3 (possibly a grand-daughter, daughter of Ann isaacson and William Shaw.)
