Military serial#: 12276955 Enlisted: September 12, 1946 in Ft Dix New Jersey Military branch: No Branch Assignment Private Regular Army (including Officers, Nurses, Warrant Officers, And Enlisted Men) Terms of enlistment: Enlistment For The Panama Canal Department Thomas was a corporal with the Army Occupation forces in Japan after World War II. He played football with the 24th Infantry Division Team of the All Japan League and coached the second and third string.

Thomas' civilian occupation was classified by the Army as "Tinsmiths, Coppersmiths, And Sheet Metal Workers." He was a New Jersey state trooper, graduating first in his class of 1955, and then retired in 1992 after 35 years with Prudential Insurance Company, working in sales. After retirement, he worked at the Cranbury Gold Club.

Thomas Joseph Peters was born to Joseph Anthony Peters (1896 - 1982) and Mary S. Steffen (1896 - 1983). Both of his parents were born in New Jersey. He had siblings Marie and Joseph Jr. Peters. Thomas Peters married Sally R Gallagher in September of 1951 in Trenton New Jersey and they had two daughters and two sons. He was survived by three grandchildren. Thomas belonged to the Mount Carmel Guild, Trenton Catholic Alumni Association and Prudential Retired Men's Group. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf.
