Thomas Joseph McDonough of La Crosse, Wisconsin United States was born in 1864. He married Florence Ilah (Almas), and they had a child Donald Paul McDonough. Thomas' partner was Corinne (Hillam), and they had children Donald Francis McDonough, Weston Michael McDonough, Thomas Edwin McDonough, and Corrine M. McDonough. Thomas McDonough died at age 73 years old on November 28, 1938 in La Crosse.

  • Professional Career

    Thomas worked on the railroad, he was a fireman and wanted to be a conductor. But things happened like his eyesight was bad and to be a conductor you had to have good eyesight. He switched vocations right before the birth of his second son. He became a Police Officer in La Crosse, Wisconsin. There he was dubbed Big Fella. He was both loved and feared. He had his share of triumphs and court cases. In 1915 he was shot when answering a call of a man beating his wife. He did survive.
