Thomas Joseph Whitelaw of Ashfield, Inner West Council County, NSW Australia was born in 1860 in Ballarat, City of Ballarat County, VIC to Emma (Clarke) Whitelaw and Thomas Whitelaw. He had siblings Emma Euphemia (Whitelaw) Beckett, Henry Albert Whitelaw, and Joseph Albert Clarence Whitelaw. He married Kate Madigan Whitelaw, and had children Henry Francis Whitelaw and Gerald Joseph Whitelaw. Thomas Whitelaw died at age 86 years old on August 23, 1947 in Ashfield, Inner West Council County, NSW.
