    Thomas Leo Casteel, 54, Blue Springs, died Friday at a hospital in Cortez, Colorado, where he was on a business trip. Mr. Casteel was a real estate and investment broker, and was a member of the Realty Board. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was born in Buckner and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a World War II Army veteran. His survivors include his wife, Chrysanne Casteel of the home; three sons, Steven Wayne Casteel, Casper, Wyoming; Anthony Gerald "Tony" Casteel, Independence, Missouri; and Michael D. Casteel of the home; three daughters, Susan Stone and Debra Casteel, both of Casper, Wyoming; and Kathy Langaas, Washington State; two brothers, James Allen "Jim" Casteel, Independence, Missouri; and Jasper Ora “Jack” Casteel, Blue Springs, Missouri; a sister, Sandra (Casteel) Vandermoon, Sedalia, Missouri; his mother, Lottie Margaret (Rector) Casteel, Sedalia, Missouri; his father, Ora James Casteel, Sedalia, Missouri; and three grandchildren. Services were Monday at Speaks Memorial Chapel; burial in St. John’s Cemetery, Billingsville, Missouri. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
