He married Agnes Ann Basler on April 30, 1950 at St Joseph Parish 141 Ashburton Avenue, in Yonkers, Westchester County United States, and had children Patricia Helene Raczy, Ruth Ann Pisto, Thomas John Basler, and Susan Sawchuk. Thomas Basler died at age 84 years old on August 22, 2010.
