    Thomas Walter Henritze was born on October 4, 1916 to parents Walter C Henritz (1889-1965) and Florence H Henritz (1893-1947) in Carterville, Jasper, Missouri. He had siblings Dean, Hellen, and Joanna Henritze. He lived in Carterville, Jasper, Missouri and married Eva Searcy Dickerson on December 18, 1938. A few years later, Thomas enlisted into the Coast Artillery Corps on September 16, 1940 in Webb City Missouri and was a private and served from September 16, 1940 until August 10, 1945. Thomas married again on January 19, 1945 in Columbus, Cherokee, Kansas, USA to Ruth Hutchinson (1922-2003). They had children together including Angela Henritze (1950-1950) who did not survive.
