    KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Tommy D. Teeter, 63, of Middlebury, Indiana, passed away suddenly on March 6, 2010, at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Mich. He appeared to have suffered a toxic reaction to chemo therapy. He is survived by his beloved wife Jacquie Trump Teeter; his mother, Ruby Parrish Teeter; two sisters, Donna (Erbin) Hensley and Glenda (Larry) Pearson; two sons, Tommy Dee (Shannon) Teeter Jr. and Scott (Sheila) Teeter; Three additional children ( Dustin, Spencer and Sarah,) six granddaughters and two grandsons. Mr. Teeter was a well-decorated E-7 Sergeant first class who loyally served in the Untied States Army for 30 years. He worked for Mishawaka Utilities as a journeyman, lineman and foreman and retired in 2007 after 30 years of service. Mr. Teeter was a little league umpire for more than 35 years. He bowled and golfed for 40 + years and loved the out doors. He attended and participating in living history events and pow wows with his wife and children. He was a loving father, grandfather, friend, mentor and hero. He will be forever in the hearts of those who loved him. Memorial services will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Post 161, 133 E. Mishawaka Ave., Mishawaka Indiana. A 21-gun salute will happen at 3 p.m. Mr. Teeter was cremated and his ashes will be given back to mother earth, four years after his passing. His final resting place will be at Big Fish Lake, Marcellus Michigan one of the places he loved to spend his spare time with family and friends.
