    Tristan Purvis Tristan Purvis Tristan Purvis of Bend, formerly of Eugene, died Sept. 28 at age 30. His family chose not to list the cause of death. No service is planned. He was born Aug. 2, 1979, in Eugene, to Mel and Karen Iler Purvis. Nancy Long was his life partner for 31/2 years. He attended North Eugene High School and Lane Community College, and received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon. Survivors include his life partner; his parents; a grandmother, Marge Truedson; and a daughter, Brooklynn Iler of Bend. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
