Add Memories, Stories & Photos about Vannie

Vannie was my maternal grandmother & I grew up with her living in our family home. I used to enjoy her stories of life before electricity was widespread, before cars, before any of the modern conveniences we take for granted today. She always walked to school. Life was very agrarian on the farm in Iowa where she grew up.
We moved from Cobleskill, NY to Flagler Beach Florida in January of 1968 and the change in climate did wonders for her. We lived by the intercoastal waterway and she loved going for short walks to enjoy watching the local wildlife and the boats going past. The last 2 years of her life were happy ones. She passed away peacefully
