Verne Tester died at age 79 years old on January 13, 1994, and was buried at Ft. Snelling National CemeterySection 14 Site 1377 in Minneapolis, Mn.

Although he never finished high school (father died and he had to work) he was a talented singer, writer and story teller. Sentimental to a fault, he would tear up telling me about his boyhood dog, and remembering when I cut my long red hair. He worked hard to support his small family, getting up at all hours to plow roads when there was no other work. He was a strict father, but in retrospect I know he only wanted the best for me.

Verne was my dad. He was born in Shamrock Wisconsin. His baptismal certificate says he was born in 1914. If any other Testers read this, would love to talk with you.
