Victor and I were graduate students together at the Univ. of Connecticut in the late 1960's. He went on to get a Ph.D. in biochemistry and later became a professor of biochemistry at the Univ. of Catania in Sicily. He died 25 years ago today on Swissair Flight 111 which crashed into the ocean off of Nova Scotia. His young son who was flying with him also died.
