Victor Tossas is the son of Valdomero Tossas Y Diaz (born 1874) and Juana Rivera Vda De Maldonado (born 1884). He was born on May 18, 1918 in Puerto Rico and had siblings Jose, Marina, Mariana, Pedro, and Maria Rivera. He also had a half brother Malcelino Maldonado. Victor enlisted in the United States Army on October 15, 1940 and was assigned to the Infantry. Victor's rank was Private in the National Guard (officers, Warrant Officers, and enlisted men).
