My Dad, born in Hightstown, NJ in 1930. Attended Hightstown schools, graduated 1949. His parents were Amanda and Stephen F. Staudinger, both of Hightstown. Homer, as he was affectionately known, met and married my mother, Elaine R. Werner in 1955. His children from this marriage are Sharon, Vincent Paul, and Gwen. Dad had always been a light hearted person telling jokes and playing practical jokes. He stayed in touch with his close friends from his high school years, socializing on the weekends. Our summers were spent at the cabin in northern NJ on the Delaware River. We affectionately called this, ‘The Mountains’, …so many happy memories. We were a happy family.
In 1982, Mom died of cancer.
