His father was born in New York and his mother was born in New Jersey. Vincent had four siblings: Clarence, Edna, William, and Edward Chamberlain. Vincent Chamberlain married Imelda and they had one son, William G. Chamberlain. A veteran of World War II, Vincent served in the United States Army from January of 1943 to October of 1945. Vincent died at the age of 82 in Nyack, New York and is buried in Saint Paul's Cemetery in Mechanicville, Saratoga County, New York.
