Vincent William Multerer of Marshfield, Wood County, Wisconsin United States was born on November 9, 1918 to Peter P Multerer and Helen E (Huth) Multerer. He had siblings Victor Multerer, Dolores (Multerer) Stuhr, and Catherine (Multerer) Ketelhut. He married Lauretta (Werner) Multerer on May 31, 1941, and had children Robert Peter Multerer, Jim Multerer, Rik Gerald Multerer, Patricia Marie (Multerer) Kraus, and Sanda (Multerer) Kickert. Vincent Multerer died at age 59 years old on July 1, 1978, and was buried on July 4, 1978 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield.

It was an effort to conserve fuel needed to produce electric power. This was a war effort and proved unpopular so in most areas of the United States, Daylight Saving Time ended after World War I. It returned during World War II.

In 1925, Vincent was just 7 years old when gangster Al "Scarface" Capone took over the Chicago bootlegging racket at age 26. Previously right hand man to boss Johnny Torrio, Capone took over when Torrio was shot and severely injured and decided to resign. The bootlegging and brothel organization was massive and when asked what he did, Capone often replied "I am just a businessman, giving the people what they want".
