Virgil Kenneth Ward, 93, of Muscoda died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Golden Living Center, Riverdale.
Virgil was born July 8, 1914 near Soldiers Grove the son of Aden and Cecil (Dary) Ward. Virgil worked with his father on the farm as well as other farmers in the area. On November 25, 1935 Virgil married Geneva Ellen Knaus at the Presbyterian Parsonage in Viroqua, Vernon Co., WI. Together they farmed for many years. Virgil worked the high lines for 5 years, and did road work for 35 years for Turner and Ed Kraemer and Sons. He enjoyed watching baseball, hunting, fishing, and doing yard work.
Virgil is survived by his wife of 71 years Geneva Ellen of Muscoda, one son; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a brother; a sister; a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harold, William; a sister Vera Roeseau; a daughter-in-law, Lila M. Ward, and great-grandson Richard A. Lundgren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the United Church of Muscoda Presbyterian, with Pastor Koester officiating.

His wife, Geneva, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013.
