Vivian Laby was born in 1887 to Joseph Henry Laby and Elizabeth (Wilson) Laby, and had siblings William Emmanuel Laby and Blanche Ophelia Laby. He married Emma Jessie (Fegent) Laby, and had a child Blanche Gweneth Laby. Vivian Laby died at age 63 years old on February 5, 1951 at Alfred Hospital in South Yarra, City of Melbourne County, VIC Australia, and was buried at Springvale Crematorium in Springvale, City of Greater Dandenong County.
