Waldo William "Boss" Godier 1919 - 2002

Waldo William Godier was born on April 25, 1919 in Prairie du Rocher, Randolph County, Illinois United States to Mae Eugena (Laurent) Godier and William Albert Pearl Godier, and had siblings Grover Edward Godier and Roy Loren Godier. He married Ruth Ann (Sipole) Godier, and had children Brenda Joyce (Godier) Hill, Colleen Marie (Godier) Schilling, and Marquita Godier. Waldo Godier died at age 83 years old on July 22, 2002 in Red Bud.

In 1919, in the year that Waldo William "Boss" Godier was born, on January 6th, President Theodore Roosevelt died. Having gone to bed the previous night after being treated for breathing problems, the ex-President died in his sleep from a clot that had traveled to his lungs. He was 60. After a simple service, Roosevelt was buried on a hillside overlooking Oyster Bay.
