BROOME--ARDOUIN The marriage of Mr. Walter Charles Steven Broome, ( Alfa Vale, Baker's Creek, Nanango, son of Mr. and Mrs. Broome, of Gippsland Victoria ) and Miss Ruby Gladys Ardouin ( fourth daughter of Mrs A. Thollefron, of Lismore, Richmond River. Maryborough Chronicle, Wide Bay and Burnett Advertiser June 1938. MAN KILLED BY BLOW WHEN BOAT CAPSIZED. Widow Gives Opinion at Inquest. NANANGO.-Tuesday, Ruby Gladys Broome, widow at the adjourned inquest today into the death of her husband, Walter Stephen Charles Broome, a farmer of Barker's Creek, Nanango at Noosa Heads on May 28, expressed the opinion that when the rowing boat in which he went to the assistance of two other people, who were in difficulties with a speed boat, capsized and struck him on the left side and killed him outright.....
