Walter Douglas Newell 1880 - 1947

Walter Douglas Newell of Warracknabeal, Yarriambiack Shire County, VIC Australia was born in 1880 in Minyip to Thomas Newell and Ellen Emily (Millgate) Newell. He had siblings Albert Newell, Ellen Emily Newell, Alfred David Newell, William Thomas J Newell, Arthur Charles Newell, and Herbert Bruce Newell. He married Harriet Lillian (Parsons) Newell in 1916, and had children Oliver George Newell, Francis Wilford Newell, and Lawrence Douglas Newell. Walter Newell died at age 66 years old on August 11, 1947 in Hopetoun, and was buried at Hopetoun Cemetery Rd, in Hopetoun.
