Walter Edwin Kellstrom's History: 1984

Uncover new discoveries and connections today by sharing about people & moments from yesterday.
  • Introduction

He was my father. He loved flying, golf, football games, beer, Perry Mason, cop shows, cheese cake. He was gregarious, friendly and honest and had a talent for playing musical instruments by ear (in his youth). He wanted to be a pilot in WWII,but was 28 at the time and too old. He served in the Air Force in Hawaii through the war and obtained his private pilot's license upon release. He did crash once, landing in a prison cabbage patch..unharmed. There was a small mention of the crash in a newspaper. He and my mother had a very small war wedding in 1944. He died at home from a Myocarial Infarction in 1984.
