Walter N., age 90, of Brick, N.J., died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2003, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, beloved husband of the late Marie (Whittaker) Gassaway, loving father of the late Peggi Dean, grandfather of the late Paige Dean, brother of Virginia Brennan & the late Louise Marion Parke, Adelaide Pavelec, Samuel, Joseph, George & Robert, also survived by many in-laws & several nieces & nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, 9-11 a.m. at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd, at Highway 70 in Brick. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Hazelwood Cemetery in Rahway. No flowers will be accepted. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Music Department at the Presbyterian Church at Shrewsbury, 352 Sycamore Ave, Shrewsbury, NJ 07702 Published in The Star-Ledger on Jan. 21, 2004
