Did you know?
In 1922, in the year that Walter W Bridgers was born, on November 4th, British Egyptologists George Carnarvon and Howard Carter unearthed the first step leading to King Tutankhamen's tomb in the Valley of the Kings. By the end of the month they had unearthed the steps and broken through the door into the intact tomb. This was the only tomb that had remained unlooted that had been found (and is, to date). Filled with gold, jewels, and ancient everyday items, the find was priceless - in terms of money and history.
Did you know?
In 1932, Walter was merely 10 years old when on February 27th, actress Elizabeth Taylor was born in London. Her parents were Americans living in London and when she was 7, the family moved to Los Angeles. Her first small part in a movie was in There's One Born Every Minute in 1942 but her first starring role was in National Velvet in 1944. She became as famous for her 8 marriages (to 7 people) as she was for her beauty and films.

Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain: Lion of the Union
Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain was the most renowned soldier of the Civil War, but if you aren't a Civil War buff, you may not know about him. That’s a shame because there are many who say that the Union wouldn’t have won the United States Civil War without him. He was a courageous fighter who was shot in the gut, and as a result, suffered horrible pain throughout his life. His real life "Rambo" experiences put any action hero to shame.
