Funeral service for Wanda Colley Sisk, 87 of Lawton will be at 1:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home Chapel in Olney, Texas.
Ms. Sisk passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Lawton.
Burial will be at True Cemetery.
There will be a special viewing and visitation for family and friends on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
Wanda was born on May 28, 1926 in Orth, Texas to Clarence Lee and Edna (Holder) Colley. She grew up in Orth, Chillicothe, and Childress, Texas where she attended school. She married Ira Sisk, Jr. on March 22, 1947 in Vernon, Texas. They lived in Wichita Falls, Texas where Wanda worked at Levi Strauss Company and they later lived in several cities and states throughout Mr. Sisk's military career including Anchorage, Alaska and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Mr. Sisk passed away on July 9, 1964. Wanda then moved to Wichita Falls, Texas in 1965 where she worked at General Hospital in the Dietary Department as a menu clerk. She later moved to Lawton in October, 1996. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas and Lawton, Oklahoma. Wanda cherished her daughters and was very dedicated to all of her family. She was a Christian lady who read her bible faithfully. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters and son in law, Sharolyn Ann and Paul DeWeese, of Lawton and Carla Sue Hemery, Walker, LA; her brother and sister in law, Donnie and Shirley Ward, of Weatherford, Texas; two sisters and brothers in law, Joyce and Lindy Fincher, of Weatherford, TX and Linda and Mike Spillers, of Katy, TX; her grandchildren and spouses, Chantel and Mike Nottingham, Misty and Dean Naylor, Marcus Shiver, Amanda McCabe, Brad DeWeese, Traci and Brian Hoolahan, and Beth Brooks; great grandchildren, Mikaela, Gavin, Ashlyn, Erin, Drew, Reese, Ami, Ashton, Lauren, Dustin, Joey, Kurt, Paul, and Eric; her great great grandchildren, River and Kenadi; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of loving friends, both in Oklahoma and Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Harold Gene Colley and Bobby Lee Ward; and her sisters, Lorene Canada and Billie Jo Fields.
