Wawrzyniec S. Dziekoński came from Sochocin, Poland, he married Marta Halina Jakubiak, also from Sochocin, they got married in Legnica, where he served in the Polish Army, he had three children with his wife Marta; Ireneusz born on November 16, 1949, Grażyna and Zbigniew born on January 25, 1956. He was imprisoned during the Stalinist period and then rehabilitated. In the seventies he emigrated to the USA and Illinois. At retirement age he returned to Poland and settled in Sochocin, he died of an abdominal aortic haemorrhage. He is buried in Sochocin.
