The Wayman Fincham family of Maryland celebrating Thanksgiving in 1942. The six Fincham sons were in WW II (in the Coast Guard) and all but 2 of them were home for Thanksgiving. (The eldest was overseas fighting and the youngest was in boot camp.)

Mr. and Mrs. Wayman E. Fincham on Thanksgiving as four of their sons return to their home in Silver Spring, Maryland for the holiday.
They had six sons in WW II. Five of the brothers joined the Coast Guard and the other enlisted in the Army.
The oldest brother was overseas, and the youngest was in training. Mr. and Mrs. Fincham "proudly displayed" six stars in the window of their home to tell the world that their sons were "fighting for freedom."
