My "Pap pap," Wayne, passed away during a routine visit to Latrobe Area Hospital. He had what I believe is the worst type of stroke, blocking the main brain stem and part of another. This was his 3erd or 4th stroke, and the one he had before this, he was life- flighted to UPMC in Pittsburgh, where he was actually pronounced dead for a little over 2 minutes. The medical drs. were able to bring him back to life!!! It was a miracle and ultimately, this stroke was very serious as well, leaving his whole left side of his body paralyzed leaving him to several nursing homes where my grandma would b at his side EVERY DAY without fail when she could. Finally, she was able to bring him home, always in a hospital bed, staring out the window, wondering what it'd be like to walk again, remember things, being active and loving his walks in the woods & hunting. My pap was the greatest person I've ever known; his kindness and love never ever failed me. I was always the favorite," Princess" he'd always call me and on occasion, "Bups".
