    Wayne Stutzman was born to David J. Stutzman (1889 - 1976) and Phoebe Stauffer (1885 - 1966). Both parents had also been born in Nebraska. He had siblings Norma, Edna, Melvin, Joan Mary, Aden, and Violet Stutzman. Wayne married Maxine Grace Earnest (1922 - 1998) in 1943 and they had five sons, including Reginald Wayne, Claude A., Wayne Jr., and James Forrest Stutzman.
