He married Maruko (Onoue) Delton on March 11, 1966, and they were married until death separated them. West Delton died at age 71 years old on May 29, 2014 at Promise hospital in Paramount, Los Angeles County, CA, and was buried at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, in Riverside, Riverside County.
