Wilburn is a 21 year retired Navy veteran. He spent 8 years as a Hospital Corpsman and was selected and served as a Navy Counselor for 13 years. Wilburn is a Vietnam veteran,was a Navy Recruiter,served on 3 ships and at 3 Naval Hospitals. Additionally,he served as a retention/personnel advisor on the staff of 4 flag officers. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and (3) Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medals and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.
