He and Kathy (Wunsch) Babin married on September 29, 1984. Wilhelm Babin died at age 66 years old on April 12, 2018 in San Antonio, and was buried on May 16, 2018 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, in San Antonio.
