3 Memories, Stories & Photos about William

"Does anyone remember Dee Wolf or the duo, Dee & Joe? They did a song called Alone In The Chapel. It is a beautiful song. I found it on a website called Bentheballadeer...They both use to reside in Toledo, Dee passed away in 2000."

"Dee's name is William Ambrose Baker and Joe is Joe Grant. If you go to Bentheballadeer, look up Soriana, she was in a relationship with Dee when he passed away. She also does music, I haven't listened to it but i will evenually get to it. Does anyone remember a tv show that Dee had in Detroit? He had a show here called T Town Sound but Soriana said he had one in Detroit. She also said that he had a show in Mephis, called Space International...."

"Dee Wolf" director, television Nashville; Eugene public broadcasting (Willamette OR) music videos, "spaceville international"

In 1995, Stephanie began to perform as "Soriana" on the television show "Spaceville" in Eugene, Oregon. From 1995 through 1998, she was Executive Producer of Spaceville, a showcase for undiscovered talent which was created by the late Dee Wolf, a new age entrepreneur and television director from Memphis, Tennessee.

The show aired on Public Television, Fox and Warner Brothers in Eugene, Oregon. Then, in 1998, Dee and "Soriana" took "Spaceville" to Memphis, Tennessee, where it aired "WMC-TV, NBC - Channel 5." Tragically, in 2000, while they were preparing to begin shooting a new season of "Spaceville," Dee Wolf had a heart attack, and died.

I had just walked off stage from an open-mic poetry performance; but Dee Wolf would not have known that... he walked up to me with a bicycle (loaded with VCR tapes strapped on the back) and asked if I danced.

"Yes," I replied. He then asked if I'd like to be in a television music video.... I wasn't sure if he was full of sh**t or had his sh**t going on!

He mentioned Eugene Public Broadcasting Station (Oregon), during daylight business hours... and I went; becoming 'Xana' of Spaceville International (music video series) 1997. I'd only danced in a three-video series; but it was a Big Hit, playing regularly through the summer. The special-effects crew really worked their magic with rainbow effects and flying stars; they truly did magnificent!!!

Dee Wolf was an incredible director to work under; those who got to know him, learned a lot along the way... I'd wanted to contribute my piece to his memory; because he meant so much to so many.

Thanks! Love, and many thanks to all Dee Wolf's contributions in music, and television history. Peace!
