His father was born on November 2, 1923 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, USA and grew up in Shaler, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, USA and then moved to Janesville, Wisconsin, USA where he attended Janesville High School in the early 1940's. Chess & Pink Floyd

As a teenager in high school I lived a few blocks from Bill. I can’t remember exactly when or how we met, but we clicked instantly and for a couple of years we met after school at his (parent’s) house to play chess and listen to rock albums. This was my introduction to Dark Side of the Moon. Even though after graduation we went our separate ways I think of Bill often, especially when I play Pink Floyd. He was one of those gentle souls that I just liked as a person. I’m sorry to hear he passed so early. RIP Bill.
